The paper is partly dry by now at least toward some places, though there are spots that are not dry at all. He won't get very blue, but if he works at it he might catch up with the blue on Koutarou's clothes.

"We're making a new one! Thanks. I was thinking of laying it over there so it can dry properly." He nods toward a table that has an uneven but flat surface at the moment.

Togusa chuckles as he does as instructed and helps carefully lay out the paper. “A masterpiece, unlike anything the world remembers seeing,” he proclaims.

But it does make him think of something as he moves to help pack up the next piece of paper. “This is the same for your old works, isn’t it? If we were to go check out the art museum, there would suddenly be a lot more color there wouldn’t it?” Togusa sounds extremely excited at that prospect. “Picasso’s whole Blue Period given back to us all at once.” A little more of the world falling back into rightness. It makes him feel like they’re making progress.

Koutarou covers his mouth with the back of a blue hand, to cover a laugh. Not that he really tries to hide it, though. "Why thank you, Hitori."

Then he nods, a bit more serious, but still smiling. "I would certainly hope so. Those paintings would not feel right if their colors weren't returned to them at this point."

The smile on Togusa's face only deepens. "We should go look. It would be nice to go there not for official business." The last time Togusa went there was for an attempted robbery, which, hey, they stopped, so good times.

One more drink of coffee before he turns to the new paper and helps tack it up. A nice blank surface, ready to be completely messed up. He peers over, and he shouldn't be surprised that Koutarou has different shades of blue ready to go. He picks the most bright, eye-popping shade he can find, like something out of a kindergarten crayon bin, with the stupidest grin on his face. This will be fun.

“We should.” It sounds like a good idea to do so. “It’s been a while since we have been on a proper outing together.” No robbery or thief catching required.

Koutarou weights down the corners of the sheet they have taken down, in case somebody opens the door. “I see you found the bright ones first.” So did he, though. “I need to get a few more of some of these, go ahead and start.” He’s used up nearly everything in a few of the buckets. He’d just need to fetch unopened ones from a cupboard.

Of course he did. Togusa dabs out a portion and swirls a brush through it to mix it up some. "It's only been a few months, but I'm glad all this stuff is still good," he comments.

The first few marks on the page are just random wavy lines, but Togusa looks very pleased as the color he has missed so much comes out. He looks at them, like he's trying to think of what to draw, but he eventually smiles and starts outlining a very large butterfly. "I think we've asked this before, but you think the world lost color for everybody? Or can animals still see what we can't?" He looks up a little. "This example doesn't work for Daisuke, but I've been wondering how much the world is changing for him, too."
