Yes, I can! I run into some people who came here too young, and they don't know a word of the language, so it's always nice to talk to people!

So where is 'home' for you, then?

wasn't taught a word of this language in my life, either. retrospec just up and "gave" it to me recently.

seems like it!
maybe, i dunno. sometimes stumble across a few kanji i don't get, so maybe not that fluent

If you ever need somebody to practice with, Koutarou and I are both fluent, a couple of other people on the Network. We've got a surprising density of Japanese transplants.

I hear you on that one. I wouldn't be making nearly this much on the Metropolitan force back home.

Just school. Jump the whole 'Japanese college entrance exams' thing by coming to America instead. I'd also gotten more interested in the American criminal justice system, my English was always good. It just made sense.

The money is a side bonus.
