Togusa absently nods, he knows this has to be a touchy subject with everyone. They've all lost people in some way or another. "I-" He's still clearly embarrassed about it to a degree. "I think I'm going into this with the right mentality. I wasn't going to feel comfortable expecting something that shouldn't be anymore."
"But they're still a part of our lives. The lives here that matter more than what Retrospec has in mind." A more firm nod that time.
He glances at Dante. "Sorry. I guess, sorry I couldn't be of more help all around."
Dante shakes his head. "Don't worry about it. I didn't come here thinking you were going to be able to make some diagnosis like a doctor. I just wanted someone else's opinion."
And he got it, even if it's unfortunately confirming what he'd been worried about.
Togusa smiles a little in relief, and nods. "You're welcome, any time. If you've got to go before Grell starts looking for you, I get it. Just let me know what she says, especially if it turns out to be better than I thought."
Togusa reaches over to take over petting duties, since Daisuke does not look like he is wanting to move at all.
"I'd probably have a while before she started worrying," Dante says, but he's going to go ahead and get up from the couch regardless, pulling his sleeve down over the cast. "But I'll let you know." He reaches over to give Daisuke another scratch behind the ears, grabbing the messenger bag from the floor. "Thanks again, Togusa."
