[If this were nearly anyone other than Prompto, odds are good that Togusa would ignore this or tell them to go take a long walk off a short pier. But Prompto is just so earnest. So okay.]

Hunh. That's weird. Hibiki says that he took this on the night of the 31st?
I can definitely go talk to him and look around the area.
I wouldn't be too worried though. There was an incident at the park at the end of last semester? Turned out to be some student film makers working on their final project.

Well, he would think that. Mako and I work well together because he's really skeptical and I'm really open-minded. Which means that the truth usually ends up being somewhere between what the two of us think.

The next step is definitely to talk to Hibiki, though. If he's really freaked out about it, and Mako is right, then somebody is playing a trick on him. And I should find who that is. If he's really scared about it, and I'm right, then something very strange is going on.

[This is some kind of a test, isn't it? If Togusa doesn't respond seriously and tells Prompto to go for it, then it's proof that Togusa doesn't think this is a real threat. But if he treats Prompto like a child, then he's definitely going prowling around in the dark.]

That's my job. I would be telling any civilian not to try to investigate something on their own.
Look, I know I can't stop you from doing this. Even though I'll be out there, once I talk to Hibiki. But at least tell me that you're not going to go around alone.

Togusa grumbles as he wakes up, he was supposed to be sleeping, it's his day off, and he'd planned to go try something out. All the irritated thoughts go away as soon as he checks his phone, though, and his heart actually skips a beat.

Gentiana? Really? Oh. He hadn't known that she had signed up, but as soon as he thinks it over, the first feeling that breaks through is...happiness.

Thank you. Really, thank you. Do you guys take tips? Or, if not, if there's ever anything that you need in return, don't hesitate to ask. This had to take a lot of work to set up.

First they ruin the paintings with the horses and now the ones with fruits! This is easier to fix but Gods damn it! It's upsetting! They better not keep altering my paintings!

At least the birds have some sort of aesthetic quality to them. This isn't artistic at all.

An entire history of still life paintings changed forever. They're messing with things they don't understand.

Some aesthetic quality perhaps, but it's still an insult to every person who's ever taken time to draw a horse. Aesthetics doesn't matter. They're changing art history, and for what?

The paintings being affected is a special kind of insult. They're changing something they can't ever be recaptured the same way, not precisely. It's not like digital media that could be reproduced.

I am entirely with you on this one. And I wish I had better answers.
